Meet The Instructors
Marisa Illingworth
Marisa is a Pilates instructor and movement artist, with her 450 hour Pilates certification from Drexel University, who initially started practicing Pilates as a means to heal a series of debilitating dance- related injuries. She found that the mindful, breath-focused strengthening work helped to create enough scaffolding and support in her structure that she finally had the opportunity to be playful and curious in movement once again. In her sessions and classes, she aims to use Pilates fundamentals and exercises to recreate this sense of support through movement for her clients, so that they too can discover a sense of ease, strength, and confidence in movement, both in and out of the studio.

Chae began practicing yoga in 2000. Her love of the nourishing nature of yoga supported continuous exploration of body, mind and spirit in Yoga and Ayurveda, yoga's sister science. A lover of all things embodiment, along with witnessing life change in her students, self and family inspired studies in Pre-Natal Yoga, Yoga for Aging, Pilates and various exercise modalities.
She has completed 500 Hours Vinyasa Flow Yoga, 500 Hours Himalayan Tradition Yoga, 400 Hours Alignment Yoga, 800 Hours Ayurveda, 85 Hours Prenatal Postpartum Yoga, ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Ellie Herman's Comprehensive Pilates Trainings. She has been teaching since 2005, facilitating Yoga Alliance accredited Yoga Teacher Trainings since 2009 and has over 20,000 hours teaching experience.
Alexandra (Allie) Goodin
Allie first discovered Pilates in her rehabilitation after a knee injury forced her to stop dancing. She fell in love with Pilates’ focus on flexibility, strength, and low-impact movement. Allie received her comprehensive Pilates certification from the Drexel Pilates Training Program, under the direction of Jennifer Morley, in 2023. She uses her own experience with injury to inform her pedagogy, and seeks to make Pilates accessible and fun for people of all ages and ability levels. Allie is also currently studying psychology at Drexel University, and seeks to emphasize the mind-body connection and encourages clients to see movement as therapy.
