Meet The Instructors

Patricia Dominguez
Patricia Dominguez has a background in both dance & athletics which influences her Pilates teaching, focusing on form and incorporating fun and inventive twists to the classical work. Her goal is that by sharing knowledge about the body, it will empower clients to continue on their own.
She received her Pilates certification through the Drexel Pilates Training Program in 2012, with director Jennifer Morely. In 2017&2020 she completed a 2year graduate level teacher training with Master teacher Karen Carlson.

Marie Brown
Marie Brown, originally from Jacksonville, Florida, moved to Philadelphia in 2005 after graduating from Radford University with a BFA in Dance. While in Philadelphia, she had the honor to work with a variety of companies and independent artists such as Scrap Performance Group, Group Motion Dance Company, MacArthur Dance Project, StoneDepotDance Lab, Chisena Danza, Beau Hancock, Jodi Obeid, and Olive Prince Dance. She returned to Philadelphia after graduating with an MFA in Dance Performance from The University of Iowa in 2014 and is most recently working with Chisena Danza and <Fidget>. She is currently an adjunct professor at Temple University, Pilates instructor, and runs her own independent cleaning business.

Maggie Donoghue
Maggie is a mover, artist, and healer devoted to helping people feel empowered in their bodies. She has studied somatic therapies such as the Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais Method, Pilates, Breathwork, Thai Body Massage and Contact Improvisation. Personal experience with hyper-mobility, chronic pain and injury led her back to the practice of Pilates and the belief that we can heal ourselves. She is a Certified Health Coach from Institute of Integrative Nutrition and certified in Classical Pilates by Core Love Culture, headed by leading Pilates Master, Nicole Smith. Maggie uses her gifts to help people return to an inspired physical life, heal injuries and align their bodies for ultimate physical well-being.

She makes Pilates accessible to beginners and challenging for all. She keeps her classes dynamic with integrity to the method. She is attentive and the sessions are restorative and challenging.

Sarah Kitchen
Sarah values prioritizing physical and mental wellness as they are a key component of our success and sharing that with the community. Exploring somatic practices like Pilates can be helpful in improving mindfulness and awareness of our bodies in the spaces we are In.

Michele Tantoco
Michele Tantoco is a professional Dance Artist and Movement Educator based in Philadelphia, PA (USA). She has been teaching contemporary dance technique, yoga, and pilates based classes and private sessions in the Philadelphia area for nearly 15 years. Michele received her 450-hr comprehensive pilates instructor training with Drexel Pilates. Initially certified in yoga with YogaFit, she counts Corina Benner, Joan White, and Tiffany Cruikshank among her most inspiring teachers in the exploration of postural yoga practice. She also regularly studies with Irene Dowd (NYC). She is a collaborating artist with the Leah Stein Dance Company and Shannon Murphy. Before Covid, Michele’s movement interests included House dancing, late-afternoon milongas, contact improvisation, and strength training.

Marisa Illingworth
Marisa is a Pilates instructor and movement artist, with her 450 hour Pilates certification from Drexel University, who initially started practicing Pilates as a means to heal a series of debilitating dance- related injuries. She found that the mindful, breath-focused strengthening work helped to create enough scaffolding and support in her structure that she finally had the opportunity to be playful and curious in movement once again. In her sessions and classes, she aims to use Pilates fundamentals and exercises to recreate this sense of support through movement for her clients, so that they too can discover a sense of ease, strength, and confidence in movement, both in and out of the studio.

Chae Yang
Chae began practicing yoga in 2000. Her love of the nourishing nature of yoga supported continuous exploration of body, mind and spirit in Yoga and Ayurveda, yoga's sister science. A lover of all things embodiment, along with witnessing life change in her students, self and family inspired studies in Pre-Natal Yoga, Yoga for Aging, Pilates and various exercise modalities. She has completed 500 Hours Vinyasa Flow Yoga, 500 Hours Himalayan Tradition Yoga, 400 Hours Alignment Yoga, 800 Hours Ayurveda, 85 Hours Prenatal Postpartum Yoga, ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Ellie Herman's Comprehensive Pilates Trainings. She has been teaching since 2005, facilitating Yoga Alliance accredited Yoga Teacher Trainings since 2009 and has over 20,000 hours teaching experience.

Sharmenie Esin

Kate Seethaler
Kate Seethaler (she/they) came to Pilates in search of a movement modality to support her dancing body-mind and quickly became hooked on the specificity and possibilities that Pilates offers to all bodies. In 2012, she received her full mat and equipment certification through InBalance Pilates/Carrie Pages at Aldrich Pilates in New Haven, CT. Kate later received her MFA in Dance/Choreography and Performance in 2016 from Smith College. Utilizing her education in both Pilates and dance, Kate’s sessions/classes playfully emphasize precise alignment, groundedness, ease, and breath, drawing upon on her own journeys through injury, healing and discovery. Kate is a proud mom of two humans and one canine, as well as a freelance choreographer, movement artist, and dance educator.
